Tryon Fall Festival, Tryon NC 2014
Gossip Girl (Gigi) and Uma made the trip to Tryon NC for the AA H/J show. Uma rocked at her first big show and came out every day with a can do attitude and jumped around the 0.85m like a seasoned pro. GG was her superstar self and had clear round after round in the 1.0M and the 1.10M.
The foals are official. After a long day attending the AHHA inspection at October Hill, Grenadine RHR and Call Me Clever RHR have their names and their brands.
Foaling season 2014 is done !

Holsteiner Inspections
Wendy attended the AHHA inspection at First Flight Farm in Boerne. She presented herself well in hand and through the free jump chute. She scored high enough to be approved as a premium mare and is entered in the Main Mare Book.

Champions all around
Although a freak accident kept me out of the tack and sidelined in a wheelchair, the horses were spectacular for Ginny. We spent a week in Tenessee at the Brownland AA horse show and both horses were champions of their divisions. We were thrilled that they brought back a ribbon in every class they entered and more often then not, it was a blue one.
Jive won all but one of her classes in the 0.85m which we thought was amazing. We are very excited to see what this year will bring with her.
Iggy placed in all of his classes and won 2 of them in the 1.05m which just highlights why we are now calling him "Old Faithful". He gets off the trailer, marches into the ring and shows everyone how it is done.

HITS HITS and more HITS
We had a wonderful time with good friends, great weather and lots of tough competition. Iggy placed in every class the first week with me in the Low Adults and then we moved up to the High Adults and finished off the week with some great rounds. We were super thrilled with Iggy and can't wait for the next horse show.
Joe Meyer time at MeadowcreekAlthough I was signed up for the Joe Meyer long format clinic at Meadowcreek, life intervened and I had to sit out the clinic to stay home and take care of Max. We did manage to fit in some quick private lessons on Friday and Monday with Jive and Iggy and had a blast. Both horses improved exponentially and we finished with Iggy tooling over the prelim course like it was easy.

Just waiting for some babies . . .
December and January are the months for preparation. I decided that I would foal out both mares at home this year and have been busy with the prep work. We are finishing up the mare barn and pasture so that the foals will have their own separate turnout. The foaling monitor is on its way here, foaling kit is being assembled and we are now counting down the days. Wendy is due towards the end of January and Uma towards the end of February.
XC and more XC - November 2012
Iggy had a busy month with lots of learning activites planned. We hauled to Meadowcreek and had a private lesson with Joe Meyer. It was a fantastic time and we came home with lots of homework. A week later we hauled up to Greenwood and spent the week-end with Clark Montogmery. Iggy was stellar out on xc and jumped most of the Prelim questions foot perfect, first time through. We then had a private dressage lesson which I thought was fabulous ( Iggy disagreed) and then finished up with a very good stadium lesson. We are gearing up for Florida this winter and I am excited to see what Iggy is going to accomplish.
Dana Peak Park Trail ride - October 2012
Janet and I loaded up Iggy and Uma and headed out to Dana Peak Park. The weather was fantastic, the scenery impressive and both ponies were completely non-plussed by joggers, bikers and dogs passing us. Fun times !
Fun day schooling XC at Pine Hill - September 2012
Amanda and myself had a great day schooling XC at Pine Hill. Amanda had Iggy show her the ropes and jumped around her first xc course and Uma acted like she has been doing it for years.

Iggy was 10th in his classic with the fastest 4 fault round and Jive was 7th in her classic. We had a great time with some very fun people, a beautiful facility and perfect weather.

Group Trail Ride
We loaded up the horses and had a wonderful morning out riding. Forget to pack a bridle? Not a problem with Iggy along - he thought trail riding in a halter and a lead rope was a grand idea. Uma also got to go for her first trip and was very well behaved.
Wills Park RMI show. Alpharetta, GA May 1st-6th, 2012
Had a great time showing at Wills Park in Alpharetta, GA. The horses were all great and accumulated a bunch of ribbons and some great experience over the week. Irish was dropped off at his new home on the trip back. We have a month to rest, recuperate and pack again for the trip to Chicago next month.
